Draft pending legal review. Text in [square brackets] is still to be filled in.

StudyCast uses only the cookies and browser storage it needs to work. We checked the code for analytics, advertising and tracking scripts and found none: StudyCast loads no analytics or advertising service and sets no tracking cookies.

Cookies

  • studycast_auth: keeps you signed in. Set when you sign up or log in and removed when you log out. It lasts up to 30 days. It is HTTP-only, so page scripts cannot read it.
  • __Host-studycast_admin: set only for StudyCast administrators when they sign in to the admin area. It lasts for the browser session. Regular users do not receive it.
  • studycast_session: a legacy cookie from an older anonymous mode, set only if an old client calls the legacy session endpoint. The current site does not set it, and it grants no access to lessons.

Browser storage

Your browser’s local and session storage hold interface choices only, such as light or dark appearance, whether the sidebar is collapsed, list or grid view, whether you dismissed an announcement or hid the Echo helper, and temporary viva progress. These stay on your device and are not used to track you.

Choices

Because these are strictly necessary, there is no cookie banner. You can clear them in your browser settings, but you will be signed out. If we ever add anything non-essential, we will ask for your consent first and update this page. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
