StudyCast respects copyright. You may upload only material you own or have the right to use. We respond to valid notices and, where appropriate, to orders from a court or government authority.
Reporting infringement
If you believe a lesson, share link or upload on StudyCast infringes your copyright, email [GRIEVANCE EMAIL] with:
- your name and contact details, and the work you say is infringed;
- the address (URL) of the share link or the lesson title, enough for us to find it;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner;
- your signature, typed or physical.
What we do
- We acknowledge a notice within 24 hours and aim to act on it within 15 days, in line with our grievance process.
- If the notice is complete, we may disable the share link or remove the content, and we tell the uploader.
- We act on valid court and government orders within the time the order sets.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, or that you have the right to use the material, email [GRIEVANCE EMAIL] with the lesson title, why you believe the removal was wrong, and your contact details. We pass the counter-notice to the person who complained. We may restore the content unless they tell us they have started legal action. [LAWYER: confirm the counter-notice procedure under Indian law.]
Repeat uploads
If an account is the subject of repeated valid notices, we may limit its sharing, suspend it or close it. We may also refuse a new upload of material that has already been removed after a valid notice.
False notices
Knowingly sending a false notice can have legal consequences. Send a notice only if you are sure.
